  1. I absolutely agree with everything that’s been said.
    I have a 13 year old daughter who has developed terrible panic attacks. It’s true to say that a lot of things will sail over the tops of heads of most boys but girls will absorb it all. Yes it is exams, social media and weight issues ( exactly these things for my daughter).
    I wish I could go back a couple of years and be more aware of what was happening with her.
    It’s so sad to see a lively, funny ( never confident though) girl with the weight of the world her shoulders.

    1. So sorry Louise, for some reason I’ve only just seen this message. And so sorry that your daughter is experiencing the kind of anxiety/discontent that this article mentioned. She is so lucky to have you as a concerned, aware mother though. You will pull her through with your support 🙂 And sorry about the email address. I’m not sure how to amend as I think it’s a WordPress thing…
